Yekaterinburg, Russia. A view of the Annunciation Church of the Holy Builders in the Akademichesky district on a bright early spring day. This white Orthodox church, constructed between 2010 and 2015 on the bank of the Patrushikha River, features multiple golden onion domes with crosses and a tall bell tower. The architecture displays traditional Russian design elements, including arched windows. It is the only one in Yekaterinburg with exterior facade paintings. Above the entrance, colorful religious murals depict the Annunciation and the patrons of builders — Saints Alexis of Moscow, Joasaph of Belgorod, and Athanasius of Athos — as well as Saint Peter and Saint Fevronia. In the foreground, a field of snow covers the ground with patches of brown earth visible, indicating the spring thaw. A line of small evergreen trees and bare deciduous trees separates the white expanse from the buildings. Flanking the structure on both sides are two tall modern residential apartment blocks. The building on the left features a beige facade with dark window frames and balconies, while the one on the right is white with grey accents. The composition places the house of worship in the middle, creating a visual balance between traditional and contemporary architecture. The pale sky has soft clouds.
