laying grass turf in the family garden. a roll of sod is driven onto the plowed surface of the soil. development and paving is important against erosion and drying out, pre-grown turf rolls onto prepared garden soil. Substrate preparation ground must be perfectly leveled, cleared of weeds and stones, and compacted by light rolling. Just before laying, the surface is lightly loosened and a starter fertilizer is applied. Laying: The rolls are laid tightly side-by-side in a staggered brick-bond pattern so that the seams do not align. Edge pieces are trimmed with a sharp knife. Rolling: After laying, entire lawn is rolled diagonally across direction of the strips to ensure root zone adheres perfectly to the soil.
