Governor Dodge State Park
Went to Governor Dodge State Park today mainly to get photos of Stephens Falls during the spring melt because that is the only time when the falls actually have water, here is a photo:

Indian Lake
Today, I made a short trip to Indian Lake, near Madison. I was hoping for a mostly clear day with a few clouds and wind to do a time lapse with clouds moving, but that just didn't happen. It was overcast and the best shot I could get was of a small stream near the park:
Wequiock Falls
A long drive north today landed me at Wequiock Falls today, about 20 minutes from Green Bay. The falls were still running top-notch during the winter, even though the sides were frozen:

Winter at Parafrey's Glen
Went to Parafrey's Glen the other day. It is only a few miles south of Devil's Lake State Park. The Glen is composed of some wooded hiking trail as well as a Gorge cut by a stream. It also houses one of the few waterfalls in Southern Wisconsin:

Mendota Sunsets and lightroom edits
Even though it was freezing cold this weekend I still went to Lake Mendota. Although I have taken winter Photos in and near Madison on Lake Mendota before, but after learning some stuff in lightroom, the photos have become a lot better, in terms of making the landscape stick up. Here are some sunset shots with dusk colors. Will go upstate against sometime soon, at least to Horicon marsh soon.
Dusk away from the sunset: (...)
High Cliff State Park
In the frozen depths of the winter, I went to visit High Cliff State Park while Lake Winnebago was still frozen in the snow. My hands pretty much froze right when I took them out of my pockets, but I still manged to get some good sunset photos. So many people out ice fishing on the lake right now with trucks, the ice is probably over 18 inches thick at high cliff.

Aztalan State Park
Aztalan State Park was one of the last ones in Wiscosnin that I haven't photographed, mainly because it was such a small park known for more its ATV'ing than anything else. But it actually has Mounds built by ancient civilization. Makes for good winter scenery.

Governor Nelson State Park
Today I took some of the day to go to Governor Nelson State Park. It was one of the nicer winter days for photography and I get some good pictures of the ice and snow on the lake. Lake is frozen right now and you can walk on it. In the summer, the fields are pretty nice at Governor Nelson.
Holy Hill
Decided to visit Holy Hill on Saturday this week. A little different from my usual nature places. This one is a large Cathedral that is located on a Hill. It is great with autumn colors but I went in the frozen wintertime. Here is a picture of the main Basilica:
It is a place to visit. I will come back in the fall of this year.
Baxter's Hollow
In the depth of the freezing winter, I decided to go to the nature conservatory at Baxter's Hollow. It's a great birding place in the spring and summer months but right now I didn't see too much wildlife since everything is frozen solid. The frozen winter does provide for some nice landscapes though.
