Went to the sugar river at Belleville under the bridge where the water is deep to try and catch some monster pike. Caught a lot of carp and suckers but only one smaller pike. Did get a big bike on a green sunfish but I was not able to bring the monster in.
I went to the Rock River at Janesville to try to fish for some big fish. The spot I got didn't produce any big fish but it did have an unending white bass bite, which is good if you want fish for dinner.
I went back to Prairie Du Sak dam since sturgeon season is now extended to catch a big monster and I got a catfish first but they were coming! Eventually I caught a 5-footer, the biggest fish of the year and it was a really long fight.
I went back to Wisconsin dells to a secret spot with a deep hole to see if I could get flatheads. I didn't get any hug flatheads but I managed 3 sturgeon, 3 flatheads, and 1 channel. Overall, not a bad day.
We went to Newport Park in the dells to fish for flatheads, but the flatheads weren't biting for us that night but the sturgeon were pretty hot. Fishy ended up catching a giant 57 inch sturgeon.
I fished the Sauk Dam for huge sturgeons this week and not only did I catch the big sturgeons, I also tripled up while I was there because I found a new Catfish spot! The action was very intense after it got dark.
I went to Crystal Lake to see if I could catch big Catfish there. They stocked fish there in 2017 and its been almost ten years. They were getting really big. I caught 8.5lb and a 6lb fish in the lake and lost another one.
I went to Jefferson Dam after the rains when the river was much higher. I was hoping the walleye were coming up the river but they weren't quite here yet. However, the flatheads were biting hot!
I went to fish lake Mendota Before a storm at evening. As the rain started to come in, the bite picked up. I ended up landing 2 out of the 3 big fish that big. Got a 17 pounder and a 15 pounder.
With time running out to catch big Flatheads, I returned to a boat ramp that I haven't been to in years. The bite was very slow until late at night but then two huge bite hit back to back on some of my last baits.
