We caught 6 huge channel catfish off of Governor Nelson state park and several got off the hook. Overall, today was a great fishing day with a subscriber.
I went to Prairie Du Sac to catch some good walleye with the new rig set up I had. Caught a few with the new rig but the main fish of the night was a big 46 inch Sturgeon I caught.
I went to the power plant lake of Lake Columbia to attempt to catch some big flatheads and it paid off. I got two 20lb plus flatheads in the single night. It as great!!
Went to fish warner with a bunch of dead shiners and everything bites dead shiners. The walleye were not at Warner tonight so I think I only got 1 walleye bite but got several catfish bites.
First day back in Madison and I went to Beach park on Lake Mendota. It as before the night rains and the wind was high but I did manage to get several fish as well as 2 big Channel cats.
Went under Daniel Boone Bridge to fish for Catfish and actually got a Catfish. 2 in fact. I also got a big 15lb carp by the piles of wood. I was surprised I could not get a flathead bite from there.
Went to River's Edge Park in Chesterfield to fish for a big Flathead and I got one late at night. The gars were as active as usual though, but I still got my fish.
Finally went to Busch lake 33 again and although I missed several bites, I did manage to get the big one. It got caught in a tree for a while but I as able to get it out and land it for my 5th 20+ pound flathead of the year.
Back in St. Louis and I went to one of the local ponds to catch a giant and I caught a pretty big catfish and also a 2.2 lb bass. I heard there were even bigger in the pond but didn't have luck with the flatheads today.
