Went once during the cold spell to Warner Boat Launch. Fish were not quite as active as usual. Still managed to catch 2 catfish and a 20 inch walleye on the breakwall though so it was good.
I went back to Prairie Du Sac Dam Yesterday to catch some monsters and man did it deliver!!! I got 2 big Sturgeon and 1 huge paddlefish. Most tiring day if fishing ever!!
I took a trip to Dekorra to hopefully catch some fish and it paid off pretty well. Although I did not catch any huge monsters, I did catch six different species of fish on the river.
Went Fishing for Monster Sturgeon on the Wisconsin River today and Caught three of them. All of them came after dark though as it seems that is when they are most active. Didn't catch a massive giant but did get three good size ones.
Went to Lake wisconsin again at the Ferry to see what was biting. The carp and Buffalo fishing just wasn't as good as before but I still managed to nab a few fish.
Went to Summer Oaks Boat ramp for some fishing and it was LOADED with fish. Mainly pint size smallmouth but still quite a lot of fish. Did manage to get a big channel after nightfall though.
I caught and threw live baits into Lake Mendota to see if I could catch some monster fish. I did not get the fish I was seeking but I did get some large fish regardless.
I drove to the Pecatonica River at Shirland on Saturday to see if I could bag a fish and ended up with my first 20lb+ flathead before dark. Dude bit on a piece of worm. It was pretty cool.
Went to another Lake Mendota park at Burrows. Its used by the local sailing club but has 2 good docks to cast off of that let you get decently deep into the lake. Got several bites and landed 2 big catfish off the dock.
I went back to Watertown today, this time at the dam. Fished a bit downstream at the deep hole and got many hits but only one Big Bite, but it was a 28lb flathead that I pulled up. The fight took a very long time.
