Google has unveiled the Pixel 3. It has two frontside cameras and 1 backside camera. It has has improved AI and technology but the images do not look that impressive to me.

Sony to Unveil new APS-C Mirrorless Cameras soon

Rumors have it that despite not unveiliing much at Photokina 2018, Sony will soon announce new mirrorless APS-C Cameras to succeed to A6500 and A6000 most likely. They have also hinted at a bunch of new lenses that are also coming out. Hopefully some of those are professional grade APS-C lenses because the APS-C market is very large and there is a dearth or high-quality APS-C lenses which is why many APS-C shooter end up getting full-frame lenses.

Fuji X-T3 hands on first impressions

Having tried out the Fuji X-t3 on Saturday, I will give some initial impressions of the Camera. Overall it has:

1. Excellent Video Features
2. Great Color science
3. High quality APS-C Lenses

However there are things lacking from it:

1. Image Stabilization
2. Eye AF
3. Good touchscreen functionality

For me its a mixed bag of good and bad.

Fuji announces new 100mp Medium Format Camera

Fuji has announced the GFX100s, an impressive 100mp medium format camera. It has Sony IMX461 back-illuminated sensor, which is the same sensor as in the Phase 1 Camera. This new camera will have phase detection, IBIS stabilization, and 4k video. With a price tag of $10,000, it is cheaper than competitors in the same niche of cameras.

Leica S3 medium format camera announced

Leica announced their S3 medium format camera. The Camera will cost just over $20,000 and feature a 64 MP sensor, 3fps burst rate with 4k video capabilities and fast AF. What do you think?

Panasonic to release two full-frame cameras

Panasonic is teaming up with Leica and Sigma to produce two full-frame cameras using the Leica SL mount. It is unclear whether Sigma will make the Cameras or not but they should provide a nice Lens lineup for the camera. One camera will probably be around 24mp MP like the Z6 and the other will be closer in the 40-50mp range like the Z7.

GoPro 7 announced, will it be enough to save the company?

Gopro has announced the Hero 7, an ultra-stabilized version of the GoPro camera. Gopro has had losses 11 or the past 12 quarters, will this camera save the company?

Photographer sues Netflix for Copyright infringement

Sean R. Heavey, the photographer of the photo "Mothership" has sued Netflix for using his photo on materials for their show "stranger things". An attempt at a settlement has failed and now Sean is going through Litigation to stop Netflix from using his work and an unspecified amount of damages. I am totally in favor of the photographer this time as Netflix is a very profitable business that knowingly used a copyrighted work without contacting asking permission or compensating the author.
