There is a cold front coming in this weekend so I decided to go to the lower Sugar River one more time before it hit to fish. Didn't get as many bites as I thought but did manage to get a bass, a walleye, and a few catfish.
Went to Udey to see if I could catch some Pike and Bass. I did not catch any Pike but I did manage a few smallmouth and a mystery sucker fish after dark. Thought it was a white sucker at first but the coloring was wrong.
I went to the Rock River at Johnson Creek two days ago hoping to catch a late fall Flathead. I had to wait until deep into the night and after catching 2 channels first, I finally got what I was looking for, a 24lb flathead.
Went to the old boat ramp at Summer Oaks again to see if I couldn't get myself a big Flattie. I had to wait until really late but I got it! Got a lot of small pecks too on the live baits. Think if I had smaller bluegills, I could have caught way more fish.
I went to Pardeeville on the fox again to see if I could confirm the big flathead that was rumored to be there. I failed at catching the flathead but I did get several channels, a decent walleye, and yellow bass.
I went to Prairie Du Sac to fish for Sturgeon on the Lower Wisconsin but because the small fish kept eating all my worms, I was not able to get a sturgeon. However, using the little suckers, I did manage to nab my first flathead on the lower Wisconsin.
Went to duck creek to fish for Catfish and Bowfin around portage. Started out poor but eventually got some decent channel cats and decent bowfin in the creek and had a good time.
I went to explore the upper fox river. Came to a county park with a nice waterall so I decided to fish it. Used worms and Bluegill and caught some Bass and Pike and then went to Pardeeville and caught Crappie and a Catfish.
I went to the Fox River at Princeton to fish for a Giant Flathead and I had one on the hook but it somehow threw the hook and got off. That was the one bite I got all night long for huge flatheads.
