Hartman Creek, Rib Mountain
Since the weather has been getting warmer, I've started traveling north both to Hartman Creek State Park, and Rib Mountain State Park. I thought it was going to be clear, but it became fairly overcast.

Ice Age Trail at Portage Canal
Hiking a few miles along the Portage Canal on the Ice Age Trail. The views were pretty nice but it was a short segment. The Marquette Segment was closed though.
Thats the old indian agency house, a historic marker.
400 State Trail
I went to the 400 State Trail yesterday. It got a lot colder than the days prior and everything in early spring is still brown and sort of dead. But the open outdoors on the trail always provides for decent photos.

Pewit's Nest
Went to Pewit's nest by Baraboo today. I think it would have looked prettier in the summer or fall with leaves but the Gorge there look beautiful anyways. Much of it was still frozen but the spring thaw is definately under way.

Great River Trail

More Ice Age Trail
More of the Ice Age trail, this time between Merrimac and Devil's Lake. Its a decent segment, not as scenic as Gibraltar Rock, but still a good hike.
We made it to the Devil's lake segment but we didn't make it to the bluff. About 12 miles roundtrip.
Ice Age Trail at Gibralter Rock
Went hiking on Friday on the Ice Age trail at Gibralter Rock. The bluff area is very scenic and there was a lot of snow in the valley. Will be hiking other parts of the trail later this week.
Ice Age Trail Winter
Hiking the Ice Age Trail in the winter, just like it was during the ice age. This time, the table bluff segment near Cross Plains, Wisconsin. Partylu cloudy, not too bad lighting, but the camera froze again after about an hour.

Winter at Harrington Beach and Kohler-Andrae
Harrington Beach and Kohler-Andrae were two of the first parks I photographed when I started this site more than 2 years ago. That was in the fall of 2012. I went back last week in the dead of winter and the beach looked quite different this time around:

Sunrise over the Ice
Waking up a second day at 6am, I was finally able to capture a sunrise over the ice on Lake Michigan.
And some colors at dawn:
