Claiming the lands of Illinois
Went this weekend to claim the lands of Illinois(minus its corruption) for the glory of the Bob Empire. Charles Mound is about a 1.25 mile walk from the parking spot. Its an easy hike and has a few good landscape views at the top. Here I am, claiming the land of Illinois:

Well, I usually just use this blog to blog about pictures and travel, I figured it'd be a decent place just to blog about random stuff as well. This time its going to be about the game Settlers and especially, playing it on playcatan.com. Now, settlers is a game of strategy but also has a large luck element to it. Chain O' Lakes State Park
On the way to Chicago, I made a stop at Chain O' Lakes State Park . While the park does contain lakes formed by the inlet of the fox river, the lakes aren't that scenic, but the Praire landscape is.

Bike ride to the Dells
Biked from Madison to Wisconsin Dells Today. There isn't a path like the other places I go so I just had to take roads. This does lead to a lot of scenic stuff though and interesting places. For instance, the veterans memorial:

Cahokia and Horseshoe Lake
On the way back from St. Louis. I stopped at Cahokia Mounds and Horseshoe lake State Park. Not really much scenic but Cahokia does have the biggest mound structure in North America, Monk's Mound:

Copper Falls and Timms Hill
The last bit of my road trip I went to Copper Falls and Timms Hill. Copper falls is considered one of the best state park in all of Wisconsin with its scenic falls:
