Cahokia and Horseshoe Lake
On the way back from St. Louis. I stopped at Cahokia Mounds and Horseshoe lake State Park. Not really much scenic but Cahokia does have the biggest mound structure in North America, Monk's Mound:

Biking today on the Badger State Trail and the Jane Adams Trail . The Badger Trail has this large tunnel that makes it famous:

Copper Falls and Timms Hill
The last bit of my road trip I went to Copper Falls and Timms Hill. Copper falls is considered one of the best state park in all of Wisconsin with its scenic falls:

Claiming the Mississippi
After leaving North Dakota, I went in search of the source of the Mississippi and found it at Lake Itasca . As always I put my flag up at the headwaters and claimed all the lands that the Mississippi and its tributaries drain for the Empire of the Glorious Bob.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park
I spent most of the time in North Dakota at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Its a great park with views of landscape, wildlife, and the Northan Dakotan Badlands, which are different from their South Dakotan counterparts.

White Butte
Leaving South Dakota, I went north into the lands of North Dakota at arrived at its highest point, White Butte. At 3508ft, its a desolte Butte that stands alone in the North Dakotan Countryside and marks its highest point.

Badlands National Park
Next stop on the road trip was Badlands National Park in South Dakota with its amazing Limestone formations. Plenty of wildlife in the park as well.

Custer State Park
After visiting some landmarks in the Black Hills, I went to nearby Custer State Park , famous for its recreational activities and its herd of Bision. Didn't see any Bison but I did summit the high point of South Dakota at Harney Peak.

Black Hills
First real stop in South Dakota is in the Black Hills national forest. Mount Rushmore and Crazyhorse are both there as well as many other attractions.
Mitchell
On the way to the Black Hills and the Badlands, we stopped by the town of Mitchell. Its a small town but has corn tourist attractions, including the corn palace(sorry for sideways image):
