Hiking in Castlewood
After getting back into St. Louis, I went hiking in Castlewood State Park today. Except for the evergreen, all the trees had lost all their leaves. However, the views from the bluffs were still magnicient, especially the ones looking over at the Meramec river. The light in the sky was really bright and ruined a few of the photos early in the afternoon, but good shots were available later around 4pm when the sun had started to fall. Using color filters and the CPL really helped. However, if you keep getting light spots in your photos when taking pictures facing towards the sun, take the filters off, it will remove many of the light spots. You will have to play with the color, contrast, curves, ad levels adjust in photoshop to make the photos look right though.
