Nikon's Financial outlook for the last fiscal year

Nikon's financial outlook for the year ending 3/2018 was a lot better than the company's financial outlook for the company for the year ended 3/2017. Although overall revenue was down about 5%, profits were up many times over what it was last year due to Nikon shedding off some of its divisions that were losing money for it. As a result, net profit was up and dividends paid per share for investors was also up. Nikon overall has more cash now than it did a year ago and is looking financially better than it was a year ago.
