The shipping gateway of the Novosibirsk hydro-electric power station on the Ob River, From Dron. Aerial view of a three-chamber navigation lock set in a straight concrete canal, the main waterway structure of the Novosibirsk hydroelectric complex, which was brought to full capacity in 1959. The lock is defined by tall turquoise and white gate towers with flat gray roofs, standing in pairs along both sides of the green-tinted water channel. Pale concrete walkways and retaining walls line the chambers and lead toward a small white administrative building with a pitched gray roof on the right bank. A wide concrete apron and a small teal-roofed pavilion sit beside the lock. A road bridge crosses the canal upstream, where the channel runs straight and narrows toward the horizon between sandy, concrete-lined banks. On both sides of the canal, dense green forest, open grass lawns and a busy multi-lane highway fill the landscape. At right stand rows of light-colored Soviet-era apartment blocks and several taller high-rise towers, while industrial buildings and warehouses spread across the left side. A wide stretch of river and a distant shoreline appear along the top of the frame under a hazy summer sky. Soft, diffused daylight and lush summer foliage give the scene a calm, orderly industrial atmosphere, balancing hydraulic engineering infrastructure with urban residential districts and green space.

Novosibirsk State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. Aerial view of the largest theater building in Russia, a monumental Soviet neoclassical complex whose silver ribbed dome rises above a round drum encircled by a colonnade. The dome, about 60 meters in diameter and covered in silvery metal scales, is only a few centimeters thick at its shell. A massive pale stone portico with tall paired columns and a deep cornice marks the main entrance, facing a wide paved plaza. Low wings with flat and terracotta colored roofs extend from the central volume and give the structure a broad, layered silhouette. In front of the theater, the large public square is laid out with symmetrical flower beds in red, yellow and green, tall lamp posts and clipped lawns, bordered by dense green trees and a busy road with parked cars on the left. Beyond the square, a modern downtown skyline of residential towers, glass office blocks and Soviet era administrative buildings stretches into a pale summer haze. Bright daylight in summer softens the distant buildings and highlights the light facade, the green park and the colorful flower patterns. The elevated drone viewpoint shows the theater as the dominant architectural landmark and cultural center of the Siberian city.
